HOW TO FIND YOUR PERFECT SHADE:

Determine what your natural hair color is by looking at your roots or outgrowth, where you don’t have any hair color applied.

If you want to go lighter, choose a shade no more than 2 shades lighter than your natural hair color as our color lifts natural hair color up to 2 levels. Keep in mind, color can not lighten previously colored-treated hair.

If trying to decide between 2 shades, choose the lighter shade. If you want to go darker, start with 1 shade darker than your current shade to see what a darker shade will look like on you.

Step 1: Mix

Put on gloves. Squeeze the Radiant Cream Color into the Conditioning Color Activator bottle and shake thoroughly until blended.

Step 2: Apply

Apply color to dry, unwashed hair making sure to fully saturate your hair with the color.

If your hair is already color-treated and you’re using a similar shade, it’s best to apply the color to your regrowth (roots) only. Pulling the color through your ends every time you color can make your hair too dark.

We recommend using Madison Reed Color Reviving Gloss to refresh the color through your mid-lengths and ends.

Step 3: Process

Put on the processing cap provided and let process for time indicated in your personalized instructions—at least 35 minutes.

Step 4: Rinse

Rinse until the water runs clear, then wash and condition with the Color Protecting Shampoo and Conditioner included in your kit.
