4 STEPS TO A NATURALLY BETTER SHAVE

The average man has more than 25,000 hairs as hard as copper wire coming out of his face and spends 3,000 hours in his lifetime shaving them off. Even though we have been shaving for thousands of years, a lot of men and women still struggle to get a clean shave and reduce the pain that comes with it! Here are 4 tried and true steps to get a naturally better shave.

Step 1: Prepare and Protect Skin with Pre-Shave Oil

Pre-Shave Oil creates a layer to protect the skin and soften whiskers so shaving is easier and causes less irritation, helping to prevent razor burn.

Wet shave area with some warm water and apply a few drops of our Pre-shave Oil before shaving.

Step 2: Cushion Skin with Shave Cream or Shave Soap

Hold a shaving brush perpendicular in a stream of hot water, rotating it slowly to fully saturate the brush hairs. Once the brush is loaded with water, remove it from the water and hold it “bristles downward.” Without moving or shaking, allow the brush to drain the excess water the bristles are unable to hold.

Apply Shave Soap or Shave Cream (We make both!) to your brush and move in an up-and-down pattern throughout the shave area, working up a lather in the process. The bristles of the brush should reach your skin. Ensure that the lather is even and thick enough to obscure the skin beneath then shave.

Step 3: Tone and Soothe with Hydrating Mist

Shave creams and soaps naturally have a high pH in order to properly cleanse skin. Our Hydrating Toning Mist helps restore the skin’s back to its balanced and protective pH levels. Our Toning Mist contains rose water and sandalwood to soothe irritated skin. Witch hazel and cedar-leaf also hydrate and reduce redness.

Step 4: Moisturize with After Shave Lotion

A good wet shave exfoliates and cleanses the face, leaving smooth new skin and a healthy, restored appearance. But newly exfoliated skin needs to be moisturized and protected. For healthy skin and long lasting results it is important to use an After Shave Lotion. Our lotion contains: Vitamin packed organic Montana safflower oil, nourishing coconut oil, soothing Aloe, Menthol which reduces redness, and raw local Honey that heals and protects skin.

Hypoallergenic means the ingredients we use cause fewer allergic reactions than other ingredients. That doesn’t mean they are allergy proof. These top 8 food allergens account for 90% of food allergic reactions: Milk, Eggs, Fish, Shellfish, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, and Soybeans. None of our products contain these ingredients, with the exception of coconut oil. Coconut oil is technically a fruit, but is also classified as a tree nut.
