The brush has an engraved image of the butterfly – a symbol of the gentle and transforming powers of nature.
The bristles are made of pure wood pins, securely fastened into a soft rubber cushion set in a handle made of oiled pear wood. The rounded wood pins gently massage the scalp and improve circulation, while distributing natural oils throughout the hair. The wood pins come from the Hornbeam tree, which is grown in the forests of Italy and Poland. This particular wood is so hard and strong, it is also known as Ironwood. Wood is naturally anti-static and will calm fly away hair. Wood does not conduct heat, so the brush will remain cool if used during blow drying.

The handle is made from Pear wood, which is grown locally in Germany. It is then carefully milled, shaped, and finished to perfection by expert craftsmen. Pear wood is naturally dark in color and has a very fine grain.

The wood pins are firmly set into a rubber cushion base with a small air hole (see detail photo). This air hole is important for allowing the gentle flexibility of the wood pins to move softly around the curves of the scalp – thus providing the ultimate scalp massage. The rounded, smooth wood pins glide through all hair types while distributing natural oils down the hair shaft.
