1) Mix 1 part clay to 2 parts water In a cup or a bowl. Stir the mixture until it becomes a smooth paste, adding more clay or liquid as needed. Do not use a metal spoon.
2) Wash your face with warm water and a foaming cleanser or facial soap to eliminate all traces of makeup.
3) Immediately apply to the face or skin in a circular motion, avoiding the eyes. We recommend that you use a face mask brush but clean fingers or a cotton ball will work too.
4) Take this time to sit back and relax! We generally recommend leaving clay on the skin for 5-10 minutes for first-time users and for those with sensitive skin. A pulsating or tightening sensation is normal as the clay dries. Patch test on forearm prior to applying to the face.
Safety Warning: Do not leave the clay mask on longer than 5-10 minutes for delicate skin as this may cause redness/drying. Slight redness of the skin is normal and will disappear in about 30 minutes. Please conduct a forearm patch test prior to facial use to test for allergic reactions or sensitivity.
